So last night, when Chris Brown took to the stage, I took to Twitter. Rather than insult the man or express how I feel about him, I decided to be proactive. I decided to call awareness to domestic violence. It’s a shame that there are so many people that have expressed how they would “let him beat” them. It’s sad that they are not being educated to know that this is not funny and that abuse truly has far-reaching consequences. If he continues to have a forum to gain success and popularity, some of us will keep using our much smaller forum to express how we feel. 

If you are the victim of abuse of any kind, please seek help in whatever form you can. People are out there to give you any assistance you need.
